Brenda Warren Council (born October 3, 1955) is a Democratic politician who served in the Unicameral Nebraska Legislature from 2009-2013. Along with Tanya Cook, she was the first African-American woman to be elected to the Legislature in 2008. She served on the Omaha City Council and twice ran for Mayor of Omaha against Hal Daub, in a 1994 special election and the 1997 general election, the latter being one of the closest mayoral races in Omaha history.
