Fred Carsten (November 25, 1886 – March 25, 1945) was a Democratic politician from Avoca, who served in the final session of the Nebraska Senate and the first session of the Unicameral Nebraska Legislature. He was defeated for re-election in 1940 by William Allan Metzger. His son, Calvin Carsten, was later elected to the Legislature in 1970.[1]
